What’s something you’ve done that you are really proud of?
I played my first festival slot this summer with my band at Tramlines! It was so much fun and seeing real life fans singing along to my songs was a pinch me moment.
Who’s an artist that inspires you and why?
I take inspiration from a lot of different artists and bands but a band I have been loving at the minute is wunderhorse. I am a huge fan of their song writing and storytelling, and musically I think they are an incredible band. Their album ‘cub’ is perfection and I find myself listening to it a lot for inspiration in my own writing.

What is your creative process?
The creative process for me never really stays the same and doesn’t hold a lot of structure. When it comes to writing songs I usually start with the chords and Melodies, playing around with whatever sounds and feels good. I try not to use my brain too much and just have fun. I am forever writing quotes, lyrics, phrases, things my friends say that make me laugh, lists, anything and everything lives in my notes app. I use this a lot in my writing. I also religiously journal and so much of my own experiences filter into my lyrics.

How did the swimwear make you feel and do you think there is a connection between what we wear and how we empower others and ourselves?
It made me feel sexy and feminine. I’m also obsessed with polka dots at the minute, so I fell in love with the swimsuit.
If I’m wearing a cool outfit I feel unstoppable. I think we can say so much with our clothes. Especially in music, I think fashion is so important in building culture and artistry. It can make fans feel like they’re part of something beyond just the music.
